• Comfortable travel gear and a sense of adventure

Step 1: Secure Your Tickets and Workshop Seats

Start by visiting the Hackaday Europe registration page. Tickets for the main event, workshops, and the pre-party are all available there. Workshops have limited capacity, so book early. Note that the Let's Mesh workshop has been canceled, but exciting replacements have been added (see Step 3). Complete your purchase as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

Step 2: Plan Your Pre-Party Experience

The official Hackaday Europe pre-party kicks off on Friday, May 15th at Soqquadro Restaurant, Piazza Era 7, 23900 Lecco, Italy. This is your chance to mingle with fellow hackers against the stunning backdrop of Lago di Lecco. Your pre-party ticket includes two drinks and a selection of Italian aperitivi snacks. To attend, you must pre-register (scroll all the way down on the registration page—past the workshop listings). Bring a hack to share, or simply relax and enjoy the evening—it's entirely up to you.

Step 3: Choose Your Workshops Wisely

With the cancellation of the Let's Mesh workshop, two new sessions have been added thanks to our sponsors. On Saturday, May 16th, you can attend:

Sunday afternoon is dedicated to Lightning Talks—seven-minute presentations on any topic you're passionate about. Slides are optional. If you have a hack, a deep thought, or a wild idea, this is your stage. Sign up via the registration page on a first-in, first-out (FIFO) basis. Slots fill quickly, so register early.

Step 5: Prepare Your Hack or SAO for Show-and-Tell

Half the fun of Hackaday is the community and the hacks everyone brings. If you have a project you'd like to informally demo, bring it along. This year, there's a special focus on SAO badges. Organizer Thomas Flummer is creating a SAO wall from the collection that fits into carry-on luggage. If you have an SAO to contribute, add it to the pile—there will be a photo gallery and write-up afterwards. It's a fantastic icebreaker and a way to connect with other attendees.

Step 6: Pack Essentials and Get Ready for the Event

For new attendees: Food and drinks are provided throughout the weekend, so you don't need to bring those. Do bring your enthusiasm and any portable hacks. For returning veterans: Expect the usual great vibe plus a first-ever SAO wall. Pack your carry-on with care—your badge collection might get heavy! Lastly, review the schedule and workshop locations in advance. Check weather in Lecco and dress accordingly.
